Dr.-Ing S. Feyza (Yagci) Ergün is an architect and researcher based in Istanbul. After graduating from German High School Istanbul with Abitur, she obtained BSc in Architecture from Istanbul Technical University, where she also received her MSc degree in the Restoration Program of the Architecture Faculty in 2013. With the EU Erasmus Scholarship, she studied one semester at TH Köln in 2009. In 2012 she attended the summer school of ETH Zurich. She gained practical experience in several architectural firms and she also worked at TU Munich as a teaching assistant. Ergün finished her PHD at TU Munich (TUM) in 2020 under the supervision of Prof. Manfred Schuller. Since 2012 she has been working on the wooden houses of Istanbul and her main interest focuses on the structures from 19th and early 20th centuries. She is also a part of the DAI Istanbul Research Network and currently working at the Istanbul Technical University.
