ABOUT ME
Halit Ozen is a professor in the Civil Engineering Department at Istanbul Technical University. He was a visiting professor at Florida International University (FIU) and conducted research at the FIU-Lehman Center for Transportation Research (LCTR) between 2008 and 2013. Dr. Ozen has extensive experience in the full spectrum of ITS, including large-scale simulation of transportation networks, optimization of transportation systems, development and improvement of decision support tools, preparation of ITS concept reports and implementation plans, development of transportation master plans, and geometric design of highway and pavement structures. His recent research interests include intelligent transport systems, traffic control systems, freeway operations, simulation and dynamic traffic assignment, and pavement management and design. Dr Özen has authored or co-authored numerous scientific publications and technical reports on a range of topics including transport planning, demand analysis and capacity utilisation.
