Robotics and automation provides an opportunity for improving the efficiency of the entire building life cycle through rationalisation as in many other industries. The optimisation of the construction projects in terms of time, cost and quality can be achieved by BIM and robot oriented construction management. This project focuses on the use of BIM technology to support automated prefabrication and in-situ assembling processes. It underlines the automated construction and its links via BIM towards more innovative robotic construction process modelling. It is intended to fill the gap of modelling and managing the information regarding the components in the building production process such as activities, building elements, workflows and operations. To this end, BIM and robot based process information model for managing the information during the building production process, will be developed. The model aims to prevent higher costs by increasing the efficiency via detailed planning, programming, monitoring and control of the automated processes.
