The proposed project outlines the establishment of a European Digital Innovation Hub (EDIH) in Türkiye, with a primary focus on the
Istanbul region, to support the digital and green transformation of manufacturing small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The
consortium, led by the Turkish Employers Association of Metal Industries (MESS), leverages extensive industry reach and expertise of
the consortium members. Recognizing the low digitalization levels in Turkish SMEs, especially in high-tech products, the project aims
to accelerate their digital transformation, primarily through Artificial Intelligence (AI) and High-Performance Computing (HPC).
The consortium's objectives include creating a One-Stop-Shop for EDIH services, fostering synergies for testing and prototyping,
providing training programs, establishing an innovation ecosystem, supporting SMEs' access to finance, and ensuring the visibility of
EDIH services. The project aligns with the Digital Europe Programme and the Digital Decade Policy Programme 2030 by addressing
key objectives, such as enhancing AI adoption and digital intensity among SMEs. It also acknowledges the need for collaboration
with European networks and EDIHs to facilitate knowledge sharing and best practices.
