HAKKINDA
Begum Hamzaoglu is a Ph.D. candidate at Istanbul Technical University Architectural Design Computing Graduate Program, where she received her M.Sc. degree. She has been involved in graduate and undergraduate level design studios and computational design courses and conducted digital fabrication workshops.
For her doctoral research, she investigates how to bridge practical knowledge across analog and digital stone carving through visual rule representations. Her research has a multidisciplinary approach encompassing shape computation, craft, cultural heritage, and digital humanities perspectives
