Research interests: Numerical Weather Prediction Modeling, Physics of the Atmosphere, Climate Change, Electrical Storm, Clouds Dynamics and Precipitation, Extreme Weather, Hydro-Meteorological Disasters
I am a professor in the Meteorological Engineering Department of Istanbul Technical University (ITU). My research field is related with dynamic nonlinear system which can be defined as a single process established by the interactions between many bodies so that I’d like to search the applications on weather system.
I have been studying the link between climate change and sustainability and its clusters in calculations such as nonlinear atmospheric system, improving forecasting of extreme weather events, mechanism of storm, cloud and precipitation formation, enhanced renewable short-term wind forecasting, climate change impact on the natural environment and water resources, climate change adaptation and mitigation.
