HAKKINDA
My research focuses on robotics, autonomous systems, artificial intelligence, and automotive technology. It particularly addresses areas such as autonomous and semi-autonomous ground vehicles, autonomous vehicles, mobile robots, multi-robot systems, simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM), autonomous mobile robots (AMR), sensor fusion, robot perception, mission/behaviour/local planning, obstacle and collision avoidance, active safety systems for road vehicles, and energy optimization, as well as artificial intelligence for autonomy.
In addition to my research, I am actively involved in teaching undergraduate and graduate courses on automatic control, mechatronics system design, components of mechatronic systems, vehicle dynamics and control, and autonomous vehicles.
I am the director of the Smart and Autonomous Systems Laboratory (SASLAB). My research team has successfully completed several projects funded by TÜBİTAK and Istanbul Technical University. Furthermore, I provide consultancy services to various companies on topics related to autonomous driving, AMRs, multi-robot systems, and vehicle energy management.
